Reston, VA – Qbase, a leading provider of essential IT and applied technology services to U.S. Intelligence Community and National Security clients, has been awarded a contract to deliver embedded technical experts to the FBI in support of its criminal, national security, and intelligence missions.

“We’re thrilled to be able to deploy senior-level engineers, developers and subject matter experts to support the FBI’s Operational Technology Division,” Qbase Senior Vice President Louis Grever said. “This team will be charged with developing, maintaining, enhancing, and delivering sophisticated physical and electronic surveillance tools and systems that will be leveraged by FBI Special Agents to lawfully gather evidence and intelligence.”

More than two dozen Qbase specialists will embed with the FBI in locations across the country to support evidence and intelligence collection activities. Groups supported will include the FBI’s Audio Surveillance, Strategic Vehicles Technology, and Machining and Prototyping Units as well as elements of the FBI’s Directorate of Intelligence.

Qbase, a prime contractor on the FBI’s IT Supplies and Support Services (IT SSS) multi-year vehicle, was awarded the task order under a ‘Best Value’ competition and will provide services to the FBI for a year-long Base Period with three one-year Option Periods.
